“Working with the Mental Health Awareness Project has been extremely impactful. MHAP caters each workshop to the school community and the needs of the school. They have been able to provide multiple workshops for students and families in various school districts in the Bronx. All of the schools love working with them and have requested multiple workshops.”

“The members of Youth Advocacy Corps organize very concise, clear and intriguing exhibitions about mental health. All members are great listeners, patient and respectful with everyone attending. Their questions are designed to make people engage and remember important aspects of the subject being discussed. In addition, they can connect participants to health centers if they need to see a professional. I was sent a List of Centers and Organizations where I can also refer families to. Sessions are done in English and Spanish. This is a very helpful program, I recommend it!"

"The internship offered me a great opportunity to push myself, to network, and to reach beyond immediate resources in my research for myself and clients of the clinics.  YASI has given me the opportunity to build more confidence to continue to practice public speaking, to display responsibility in giving advice, and to share ideas with others."
